The Joynes line I am researaching has been traced back to Edmond Joynes, Sr.of Northampton and Accomac Cos., VA. We believe his father was John Joynes (Joyne). John arrived in Virginia on 24th of July 1638. He was brought to America by Randell Crewe along with twelve other people. He settled on the upper New Norfolk on the Nasemond River. In 1643, John Joynes bought land at Town Fields, near Cheriton, in what is now Northampton Co, VA. Does this tie into any of your research??
