There is a Jowell/Abercrombie connection in James Abercrombie's will.

Will dated November 29, 1819 Laurens co. SC.
Will proved, Feb. 7, 1820, Laurens co. SC.

Box 1, Package 3.

The will states, I give and bequeath Rebekah Jowell, a negro girl named Jean- Daughter of negro Jean to her and the heirs of her body forever-also two hundred dollars to be discounted out of the money but her (or her husband) Gabriel Jowell and what she had before.
