Don't know anything about the Joslin's.James Kellum JOSLIN b: 20 Feb 1847 in TN (don't know where)married 23 Aug 1868 in Carroll Co, AR.Was playing the fiddle at a dance and was killed by someone aiming for another musician on 5 Jun 1875.He was killed in front of his wife Hannah DUNLAP and his daughter, Edna JOSLIN born 19 Dec 1869 in Barry Co, MO, and son William Harrison JOSLIN also born in Barry Co, MO.He was killed by a man named "Baloo" (sp?) who is supposed to have served time.I've checked Barry Co, MO court records for several years and can't find a trial or sentencing.Need to check surrounding counties since bands played all over an area. Also, need to go to AR and check their records in counties touching MO.My grandmother thought his mother was named KELLUM, but she wasn't sure, said it could have been his grandmother.Know it's not much help.Appreciate any help you can give me.
