Hi Christina, not sure you are the Joslin I had contact with several years ago or not. I seem to remember your name. Anyway, I do have some information on Sarah Joslin who married a Hardy. Not sure if his name is Henderson or James. Could be both. James henderson, since Sarah had a son named James.
I believe this is Sarah I found on the 1880 census in Washington Co. Tx living with James Hardy age 32 born Ms.
wife-julia Hardy age 25 born Tx.--dau, mattie age 5 born Tx--son Samuel age 2 born Tx.sister Carrie Hardy age 6 born Tx.sister Marie Hardy age 38 born Ms. Mother- Sarah Hardy age 56 born Ala. I know Sarah was born in Tenn, but as you have found out in your research ages and places of births get mixed up all the time.
I don't have anything on Piety Elvinia Joslin B; July 6 1837 Panola, co. Ms. died 9 Sept. 1865.
I am a descendant Of James Sanford Joslin's daughter Emma M. Joslin Forbes.
It has been a very long time since I did any research on the joslin family.Helen Mills
