I recently discovered that my great grandfather, Paul Josey (born around 1909 in Halifax, NC) three children on record with the county: Mary Elizabeth Josey (1931), Paul Josey, Jr(1930) and my grandmother, Mary Ruth Price Josey (1936). There may be another undocumented child, George Josey, but I'm not for certain.
My great grandfather was born to Georges and Julia Josey and they bore another child, Carrie Josey (around 1900). Carrie had two children, Sam and Chelsey. I cannot find a record on Carrie's husband, but census records state she was married, but again, no information on the husband.
I can't seem to locate any death records on Mary Elizabeth or Paul Jr, so I'm lead to believe they are still living, as they were children by Melvina Freeman, my great grandfather's first wife.
