My grandfather was Robert Edwin "Ed" Jorgenson. He was born at Grafton, ND., son of Roald Jorgenson, and homesteaded in Saskatchewan in 1910. No sign of your adoptees in our history. I doubt we are talking about the same guy, but it is worth a shot. My cousin has had limited success in building a family tree, but you may pursue if you like. Let me know.
