His Father: Samuel Jordison who originated from England with his wife to be, Sarah Anne Pounder(from Tunstall)
Samuel Jordison was born in Sandhutton, Yorkshire, England, on October 22,1859 to Cristopher Jordison and Ellen Butterworth. He and another brother ,Will, joined two other brothers, John and Kit, in Manchester in 1880.
We are without question, related, but on which line?
We are the only Jordison's in the Cayman Islands, and quite possibly in the Caribbean.
I have heard there are Jordison's in Canada, from the same roots in England, and have heard of Jordison's in California and Australia, but I have never come across any. Naturally, there are still Jordison's in England. I have also been told that there are only about 300 households with this name worldwide.
If anyone has info on the ancestry of Christopher and Ellen Jordison of Sandhutton, Yorshire, I would appreciate any info as this is where my records stop.
