I have two corrections to make to the data that I gave
to Donna Carwile a while back:
1. Thomas Jordan Jr.s wife was named Mary, but there is
no proof that she was a Huddlesey. The name did appear in
the Jordan family as a given name after this marriage, and
it is quite possible that Mary was a Huddlesey or at least
a Huddlesey descendant, but we can't say that for sure.
2. John Jordan (c. 1780-1835/36) was said, in "Cockes
and Cousins" to have married Sarah Martin in Goochland
Co. I'm not at all sure that the Goochland Co. John was
our John Jordan. In an 1814 deed, John Jordan of Henrico
Co. had a wife named Judith; and the death record for John's
son Winston in 1870 also names his mother as Judith.
