Alleged connections to Pierce family, are another result of the article from "Genealogical Gleanings in England". This article shows that Robert FitzPen's grandmother was one "Alice dau of Peirce of Ireland". In re-checking this article, I find a footnote I had previously overlooked: "George's sister Cecilia ... was bap. at Melcomb Mar 10, 1593, an md. ___ Reynolds.". So there is the 1593 baptism of Cecily (Phippen) Reynolds, too late to be the mother of Cecily (___) Bailey / Jordan / Farrar.
The article also mentions: "Weymouth and Melcomb, united by a bridge, were under one government or mayoralty."
Seems those tho neglect sources have said much about Cecily ___ and Samuel Jordan; those who cite sources, admit that there isn't much document about them.
Actual document I'm aware of, about Cecily:
1) 1620 land grant (with Samuel Jordan)
2) breach-of-promise suit (with Grivell Pooley)
3) List of Living, 1623/24
4) Muster, 1624/25
Other theories about origins of Cecily ___, which have been offered:
1) Virginia Magazine of History and Biography, v 50, pp 74-80 - "Cicely Jordan Farrar and Temperance Baley" (James P C Southall)
Mentions, but discounts, a possible connection to Sandys family;
then presents evidence for a possible connection to Yeardley family.
This article is copied in Farrar genforum, #1685.
Same author in Virginia Magazine of History and Biography, v 51, pp 380-393 "Links in a Chain".
Here, he simply acknowledges that we don't know who Cecily was.
2) this genforum, #9906
Suggests that Cecily's maiden name was "Flood" (or "Fludd").

Lists other known passengers on "Swan", 1611; overlaps the other two.
Michael, we have covered much of the lore now, in this thread, about this family. Are ther other related topics which we have missed?
