Susan Anderson Jordan is more likely. Jordene is from local Kent descendants/genealogy researchers who are not so certain that they read/interpreted the name correctly. Unfortunately a marker made for a Kent family cemetery has the Jordene name on it for her & so it remains & is perpetuated. There are all sorts of names it could be Jerdone, Jurdin, Jourdan, Jordon, and Jordene. We are not at all certain. No Jordene's are found in any of the surrounding counties during that time so it's unlikely it is correct. Plenty of Jerdone's but without any family listing that would coincide with Susan's birth date. The Jerdone's are well documented with all the family papers in the Swem Library at William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA
Please let me know your sources & we can move on from there.
