I am back in my search for information on the Ewel Jordan Family. I would be thrilled to find out who his brothers were and if anyone has information on this family. I know he had two sons, James & Thomas and one daughter, Aurena. I found their gravesites in Hancock County, TN.
Ewel married Elizabeth McCoy in 1828 in Grainger County, TN. She was the daugther of David McCoy & Margaret Peggy E. Norton. They were married in 1790. Elizabeth was one of 10 children. I have reason to believe James was my grandfather. James & Thomas' framed picture was in my father's possession while my father was living. The picture disappeared after his death. It was in the same type frame as my grandmother's(Polly Collins), which I have. Thanks to many who have helped me thus far, I am not thru yet. Thanks for any help!
