From The Tiller and Toiler, Larned, Pawnee Co., KS, Friday, July 24, 1903, page 8: Michael Jordan, father of Wm. and Daniel Jordan of this city, died at Excelsior Springs, Mo., Monday at the age of 71 years. The remains were brought here Wednesday and the funeral was held from the home of Mr. Wm. Jordan, the remains being interred in the Larned cemetery beside those of the deceased man’s son, Tim. The deceased was born in New York and made his home in this city for a number of years until recently. His death came as a shock to his sons, as he had been ill only a short time and was not considered dangerous. From the Larned Weekly Chronoscope, Larned, Pawnee Co., KS, Friday, July 24, 1903, page 3: Michael Jordan, an old citizen of this city, died at Excelsior Springs, Missouri on Tuesday, aged seventy-one years. Mr. Jordan has been living at the home of his daughter in Osawattomie, Kansas, for the past few months and recently went to Excelsior Springs for the benefit of his health. His death was the result of an accident he received there by falling down stairs and injuring himself internally. The remains were brought to the city Wednesday and buried in the Larned cemetery.
