I am Joyce Hooker. I have been trying to track down my connection to Rev. Harris Joplin. My maternal grandfather, Oscar Morgan, was the child of Thos. L. Morgan and Ellen Joplin. Grandpa always said that his family was from Missouri, and he was related to the founder of Joplin, MO. With the obvious connection of Ellen Joplin, I still am unable to determine how we are related to Harris. The only search info I was able to find was my greatgrandmother's death certificate that lists her father's name as John Joplin and her mother as Catharine Holloway. Any help would be appreciated!
