I am a Texas Jones descendant, but am searching for photos of Emily Missouri Tow, from Tow, Tx. Let me recommend that you consider contacting These are people generally working with the public libraries. All the counties in the US (yes!) have a site in this program. If you know the county where these people came from, or lived, you can contact the co-ordinators on to send them copies of the photos. The coordinators know the area and history of the county they work in. They may be able to assist in identifying people in your photos. This has been done successfully by people I know. You may want to look up unidentified photos on google or post yours for someone to recognize. There are lots of them. Someone could recognize the people in your photos. Unidentified photos must be given to some library, or local museum instead of being tossed in the trash. Believe me, a relative tossed all the photos belonging to my paternal grandmother, and it is heartbreaking to learn that someone would do that.

Hope this helps.
