Jenny Jones was the Native American Matriarch, and beginning of
one of the earliest female ascendants of Paul Jones the doll man; and his descendants. This began on a slave block in Winston Salem North Carolina. The little family of A man his wife and very small daughter were auctioned off one by one. First the father was bought as a skilled artisan, and the wife as either a seamstress or a cook. Finally, as a older gentleman and his wife gazed on the forlorn little tot that remained tears streamed from their eyes. You shall come back to Alabama with us they declared. When this woman eventually had a son he married the slave masters daughter.
