I'm still with you and I'm listening. You're making some very good points. I'm going back and re-examining the records I have. I believe you're right that James Jones, dau Susannah was the one who m John Simmons son of Benjamin Simmons.
About the Ridleys and Albridgton Jones connection...
Henry Jones(I) and Catherine were the parents of Henry Jones(II) who deeded the land to William Simmons. Henry Jones II was the father of Henry Restore Jones who m Mary Ridley, dau of Francis Albridgton Jones and Mary Elizabeth Ridley who was dau of Nathaniel Ridley and Elizabeth Day. I don't have the will of Henry Restore Jones but I understand he died testate in Halifax Co 1801 and his will mentions mentions wife Ridley, sons Francis, Willis, Briton, daughter s Peggy, Jemimah, Elizabeth Day, and Mary. You can see the names coming down from the Jones, Ridley, and Day ancestors.
A daughter of John Simmons d 1749 also married into this family. John's will mentioned daughter Elizabeth Jones & her husband Elberton Jones. There were many Albridgtons and Francises in this Jones line, so "Elberton" may not be the same as Francis Albridgton Jones who m Mary Elizabeth Ridley. There was certainly a connection though. Elizabeth Simmons Jones died and Albridgton Jones m2 Mary Wainwright, widow of Elizabeth's brother (or possibly half-brother depending on how early she was born) Charles Simmons. Charles Simmons' first wife was Eleanor Butts.
All of these Jones from Jones Hole and Three Creeks and Angelica Swamp (not the Matthew Jones line) were related, at least through the Blight family if not through the Jones family as well.

James Jones, executor, presented the will a Merchant’s Hope 12 May 1719 and Edward Goodrich proved Sarah’s letter to the court.[''Prince George County, Va., Court Orders & Returns of Executions 1714-1720,'' Magazine of Virginia Genealogy, vol. 24:3, p. 24] Sarah sued her stepson, James Jones, 8 March 1719/20.
Letter to court by Sarah Jones, widow of James Jones,
states she has been justly dealt with and requests will be probated.

Whereas James Jones the Elder late of this county deceased did by his will made April 6, 1717 amongst other things in his said will made and devised in these words "All the rest and residue of my personal estate, goods and chattels whatsoever, I do give and bequeath to my loveing son James Jones, full and sole executor of this my last will and testament"
Since the law calls Negro, Mulatto, and Indian Slaves real estate. it may be a doubt whether any of the slaves pass to James Jones by this bequest.
Gilbert Hay, aged 63 years, deposed as follows; that he wrote the will and that James Jones wanted the will written to his son’s best advantage that all the slaves given in former wills to others (except to grandchild Jane Cook) should go to son James Jones. 9 June 1719. Edward Prince age 39 years, deposes that he was witness to said will and heard the same as Gilbert Hay 9 June 1719 Recorded 9 June 1719
I'm out of time. Will have to get back to this later.
