Thank you Frank for your reply.I don't get many.I do know some of Joseph Jones history as my husbands people lived in Calhoun Co. Ar. But,they do not know the parents of their Joseph Jones b. 1810 Ga.Joseph Jones wife Elizabeth Walden was the first person buried in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery and it was initially called the Jones Cemetery. There is a prominent marker with Elizabeth Waldens' information in the cemetery. We believe we know Elizabeth Waldens ancestors. The 1870 and 1880 census Eliza is the second wife of Joseph, Eliza Mays Mosely. The first wife Elizabeth Walden died in 1859, or just before the 1860 census was taken in Calhoun Co.Arkansas, as she is not listed with the family. Our descent is from son William, second son born to Joseph and Elizabeth Walden. As usual with my posts, I challenge the name Threat as belonging to Joseph Jones b. 1810 Ga.It was given to Joseph's son JosephThreat Jones but should not actually apply to the father Joseph Jones b. 1810 Ga.My assumption for this is that Threat ( Thweate?) was the married surname of Elizabeth Walden, aunt to my Elizabeth Walden b. 1813 Ga. And, since Joseph is no kin to the Walden family, the name Threat is probably not his name at all, but a name given to honor Elizabeth Waldens' relatives.I do wish some of the descendants of Joseph Jones b. 1810 Ga. would be as diligent in replies as you are. Please do not hesitate to jump in there anytime on the Jones lines.I enjoy the posts. Carol Jones
