Gail Jackson Jones, 80, of the Asheville Hwy, Greeneville,
Greene Co TN, died at Takoma Regional Hospital, Wednesday
evening, July 13, 2011, as the result of an auto accident.
He was born June 3, 1931.
He was retired from All-Steel Equipment Co. in Aurora, IL.
Mr Jones was a member of Susong Memorial Church and Roby
Senior Citizens.
He was the son of the late Samuel 'Jay' Jackson and Myrtle
McGuffin Jones; and was preceded in death by his wife,
Marion Jones; and two brothers, Luke Jones and Paul Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine Lowery Jones; two
daughters and one son-in-law, Vickie Morrow and Scott Leber
and Rhonda Jones, of Rockford, IL; grandchildren, Jim
Morrow and spouse Meg, of IL, and Valerie Frazier and
spouse Clay, of Wisconsin; several step grandchildren;
four great grandchildren; special friends, Elizabeth
Fillers, whom he considered his granddaughter, and Brenda
Boynton, of Freeport, IL; four stepsons, Jesse Lowery and
Mickey Lowery, of Greeneville, TN, Dennis Tucker, of
Irving, TX, and James Tucker, of Clairton, PA; two
brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Onita Jones,
of Mohawk, TN, and Rex and Vonda Jones, of Smithville, TN;
sister and brother-in-law, Jimmie and Louise Higgins, of
Greeneville, TN; sister-in-law, Naomi Jones, of Mohawk,
TN; four nieces and two nephews; and his special friends,
The Roby Rook Club.
The family will receive friends 6 p.m. - 8 p.m., Monday,
July 18, 2011, preceding the funeral service at 8 p.m., in
the funeral home chapel. Rev. Dwayne Gray, Rev. David
Gibbs, and Rev. Sam Smith will officiate.
Interment will follow at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 19, 2011,
at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked
to meet at 10:15 a.m., Tuesda,y at the funeral home to go
in procession to the committal service. His pallbearers
are Lyle Ailshie, Darrel Bible, Mickey Lowery, Jessie
Lowery, Randall Jones, Doug Duff, and Brian Harrison.
Members of the Adults Sunday School Class of Susong
Memorial, special friends of the Roby Rook Club, and his
friends at Ma & Pa's Restaurant will serve as honorary
pallbearers.
Arrangements are by Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
