Hi Irene, while viewing the Jones Forum I noted the name REPS and thought I'd post a note on the forum regarding my research on Reps.I have been researching my Jones lineage for many years and through various contributors and archives I did publish a book in 2009 entitled "Walter Alley and Related Families of the Tenn. Valley:A Collection of Genealogies."I am descended from this Walter through his grandson, John Walter, who married Louise Jones, a descendant of Reps. I have traced Louise's ancestry back to Thomas and Mary Reps Jones in Henrico Co., VA, 1685, and have included all my research in the book.(The book can be previewed on my website:www.matthewrussellgenealogy.com.In addition to my onhand supply the book is also offered on Amazon.com and major book stores on a POD basis.) The name Reps was also spelled as Repps; the name seems to originate with Mary Reps, wife of Thomas, born ca1653.Thomas continues to be a popular name in the Jones family. However, Armstead and Robert became my primary forcus and I attempted to document their lineages as far as possible. (Excerpts from wills and deeds, and their references, are used within the book to depict their lineage and families.)I would be happy to respond to any inquiries either via this forum or email direct. Thanks, Walt
