I only have census information and like I said, I believe this is him, but maybe not.Micajah did die without a will.I do have some copies of some of the probate, etc., papers and have transcribed them and sent them to several of the USGenWeb websites where they are posted. They do not mention his children, other than T.R. Jones and W.G Jones as well as W.G. Burns are named in the administrator bonds book B 1870-1937. p. 134 from Henry County, GA.I descend from his son, Noah Franklin Jones (N.F. Jones) who predeceased Micajah.I recently found court documents filed on behalf of my grandmother and a couple of her siblings by her mother (Sarah Jane Heath, wife of N.F.) in regards to Micajah's estate. Apparently, the children of NF Jones received their father's share of the estate and Sarah Jane had to file guardianship papers for her children that were minors (even though one of them was married). These were filed in Russell Co., Alabama, where they lived, but refer to Micajah Jones estate in Henry County, GA.
I did find a reference to a marriage of a Lewis Jones to Minerva McClendon in Shelby Co., GA.Is this your Lewis?I have no proof one way or the other that the Lewis who ended up in Texas is Micajah's son - except that at least one other of Micajah's sons and one of his daughters ended up in Texas. Like I said, Lewis is not in my direct line and I was looking at him to see if I could find clues as to parentage of Micajah.
