James Williams of Beaufort Co NC left a will dated 4 Nov 1792, naming wife Elizabeth, father Thomas Williams, son Thomas Williams, and daughters Nancy Jolley and Sarah Williams. Witnesses were Nathaniel Daniel, Thomas Williams and Jordan Shepherd. Executors were wife Elizabeth and father Thomas.
What was the first name of Mrs. Nancy Jolley's husband?
1790 Beaufort Co census shows the name Solomon Jolly two households removed from James Williams. Nine white family members suggests this might be Nancy's father-in-law rather than her husband. My guess is Nancy was born in the early 1770's and had not been married long before her father died in 1792.
