Jesse, Jesse, Jesse and then there's Jesse !
In reading questions and comments info etc. from folks looking for Jollys One thing stands out...For every line there is at least one Jesse. There are more Jesse Jolleys than you can shake a stick at. 1790 census in Martin County NC there are Jesse Sr. and Jesse Jr. Jesse Sr. has a son, Curren, who names his firstborn son, what else..Jesse. Gets confusing don't it ? So if you are looking for a Jesse Jolley you need to know when and where 'cause there sure are a lot of them.
Also for people looking for Jollys in states other than North Carolina it begins to appear that you have to start here. I've got Peter Jolley in 1687, just eighty years after the founding of Jamestown, first permanent English colony in North America. The whole kit and kaboodle of Jolleys in America has to be connected to this time line between 1607 when Jamestown was founded and, well, today.
