My husband's grandfather was Jerry Robert Joines who is from Athens AL. He married Glaydeous Roberson. I would estimated time line around 1900, give or take a few years, for his birth.
They later moved to Nashville, TN, and then later on to Centerville, Hickman Co, TN. He worked at Werthen Bag Co. He also played on the ball team at Sulphur Dell.
He had a brother they called Uncle Flally who lived in Nashville as well.
If anyone has information on the Joines in the Athens AL area please let me know.
