Does anyone have any information on John Joines born abt. 1821 in either TN or GA? He ws married to a woman named Christinah Nix who was brn abt. 1823. Their children were Rufus Franklin Joines (my GG father), Rhoda, James A., John C., Harry, Susan, Ann, and William A.
Our family has come to a literaly stand still. I know that my mother's family (the Joines) lived in Lincoln Co., TN. In census records, however, John Joines states he was born in GA, then states in another year he was born in TN.
We also know that in 1925 my GG father Rufus and his wife (Mary Lemmie Stewart) lived in Oklahoma Co.,Oklahoma before moving back to Lincoln, Co. I know with all these families on here, someone's got to have something! Thanks!!
