Hello Jaquie
I have Jane Pace nee Joiner in my family tree. She was the niece of my gr gr gr grandfather Benjamin Griffiths who lived in Nechells, Aston, Birmingham. Jane registered the death of his son Frank in 1897. Like you I have hit a brick wall with her particularly the entry on her marriage certificate that states a Joseph Tonks as her father when in fact her father's name was Purvis Joiner and her mother's name was Hannah and they actually lived in Asheridge Buckinghamshire.
I find this lady a real mystery and would like to know the connection with my family the Griffiths.
