I've ran into some questions going thru some info I received from a family member. It says John Johnstone of Stapleton b. 1665, Newbie, Scotland. Officer in Scottish Reg't. and in French Service. Married while in exile. Married 1695, Elizabeth Belchier, dau. of Gabriel Belchier, a French Protestant. Mother was Elinor Batten.
Then it jumps to Thomas Kenan b. 1700 Scotland or Ireland, d. Nov. 7, 1765, Duplin Co. NC. Married Elizabeth Johnston b. 1704, Dundee, Scotland, d. Nov. 15, 1789 Duplin Co., NC. My question is....does anyone have any other info. on this? The names of their children? This is where my information ends, from backing up on this info., it goes back past Charlemange. If anyone could help me, I sure would appreciate it very much. Thank you. Beth
