I have a copy of the register with the marriage of John and Mary. No maiden name given...
I would like to find both back and forward Johnston information. I am not familiar with other researchers. Please send contact information.

There is a wonderful story in my family that my Jane descended fromMarquess RichardWellesley/Johnston match when Richard Wellesley was a Lord lieutenant in Ireland. Richard's bastard son Edward J. Johnston was his personal secretary in 1820 to Dublin.Johnston's mother was obviously a mistress.... . I would live to find that information as Edward was historically present in Richard's life and lived at Phoenix Castle. There is also a story that Arthur, Duke of Wellington saw to the education of Edward and his brother. This has to be documented somewhere. I assume since Edward was TAKEN to Dublin..he resided in England, however...... and I am not certain of his age. ( Bl 1885 at the earliest)Richard Wellesley took charge of his adult life when his father died in 1781 and assumed the Duke of Mornington's role in the Dublin Government. This is the beginning of the timeline for Richard's mistresses.... Johnston being an early one.
