Portrait of Rev. James R. Johnston of Portland, ME, c. 1830s
The Summer/Autumn 2008 issue of ANTIQUES AND FINE ART magazine on p. 203 pictures in an article a portrait of Rev. James R. Johnston of Portland, Maine, in the 1830s.The article gives no further genealogical information about Rev. Johnston.
This portrait should be made known to the Johnston family. I am scanning it in case any of the descendants might like a copy, either by email or by postal mail. Someone in the family ought to have it--it is too good to be missed by the family. It may not have extensive genealogy value (no other genealogy information is given about it), but it certainly does have a whole lot of family and artistic value.

If it were a portrait of a Pease family member, I'd certainly want someone to do the same for me.
