Clayton, most of the information that I am going to show comes from "TUTOR, The families of Pontotoc County, Mississippi, Emigrating from Cumberland County, North Carolina 1848" compiled by BETTY ANN HELLUMS ROWLAND. Some other information comes from "Cemeteries of Pontotoc County, Mississippi".
Owen Tutor and Lucinda Senter of Cumberland County, NC had at least 10 children. 3 of them appear to have relations to the Johnston family. (1) Samuel James Tutor, b. 8 SEP 1800 m. In the Cemeteries of Pontotoc County, I find J. J. Johnson b. 17 NOV 1810 d. 30 AUG 1879, buried at Poplar Springs in Pontotoc County, MS. There is Joseph Johnson b. 10 OCT 1819 d. 13 JUN 1882 buried at Poplar Springs in Pontotoc County, MS. I do not know who these 2 are. A third grave is that of John M.
