I have been stumped for 20 years about Allen Johnson - can't find his parents. Allen was born in NC, but his parents are listed in an early census as having been born in VA, but I can't find out their names. Yes, Allen owned land in Carroll County in the Palmer Shelter area early on, but moved dbefore he died to the 12th district in Carroll County, probably to live with either Berry or Alexander. Alexander, Berry's brother, was my great-grandfather. His son, Allen Christopher, was my grandfather. Alexander and Berry are both buried at Humbles Cemetery in Carroll County, TN. I have been unable to find where Allen is buried. He was married to Berry's mother, then married Margaret Mebane and had Alexander plus Mary and Allen, Jr. I do not know Barry's mother's name.
