Seeking William Johnson in Bryan
Posted by: Stephen Johnson (ID *****3897) Date: November 14, 2012 at 19:55:29
  of 35040

The ancestry I have traced out so far, is Levi b. abt. 1832, whose parents was Moses Johnson b.1794 and Nancy Ann DAVIS b.abt 1796, they had ten children; James, another male-child, Jane, Georgiana, Martha, Levi, Andrew, John and Caroline.

Moses father is believed to be William b. abt 1754 and Ann?

Moses brother are believed to be Richard and Solomon.

They were in the same location (Richmond Hill area or Way's Crossing) from when it was St. Phillips parish, then Chatham, then Bryan. Ann was a widow early, so he may have died in the Revolutionary War.

I am disabled and cannot do Ancestry ($$$), so I am stuck and do not have access to land lottery / land grants for that area in the 1700's.

Can anyone help me find where William come from, how he got there, etc.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
