Researching for the family of Jonathon W. Johnson(b. 3-9 1819-NC or SC /d.6-19-1883 Texas) who married Sarah Alice Whitten(b. 8-31-1831-TN/d.4-11-1914 Texas). Their marriage date and where is unknown but they might of been marriage in White Co. Tennessee due to the birth of their first child in 1850.

Children: Mins T.(b 1851-TN), Sophronia (b.1853-TN)
George Freeland(b. 1855-TN), Charles Buchannan(b. 1857- Ill), Elmina(b. 1859-Ill or ARK), S. Price(b. 1867-ARK) and Emma(Emily)Nora(b. 1863- Ark).

The family did move around due to the birthplaces of their children and were unable to locate the family any earlier than 1860, which they were living in Carrollton - Carroll Co., Arkansas.

They were not located in the 1870 census but finally settled before 1880 (Census 1880)in the small church community of Pilgrims Rest in Rains Co. Texas.

Most of the family continued to remain in the community or in Northeast Texas where a great number of the family are buried in the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.

All of the family have been located excited Mins T. and Sophronia.

Also, don't have any information on Jonathon's or Sarah's parents/siblings,etc.

Any information on this Johnson family would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, Sherrie Stout
