I purchased the subject undated RPPC (Real Photo Postcard) (not postally used) depicting two middle-aged women and two young women (their daughters?). The two older women are identified on the back:
"Mrs Prunty, 2 left
Emma Johnson, at right.
of Cairo, W. Va."
Likely candidates for these individuals are ones appearing in Public Member Trees posted on ancestry.com, namely:
Minerva Jane Prunty, born 12 Jan 1867 in Heldreth, Doddridge, WV, died 8 Nov 1950 in Clarksburg, Harrison Co., WV, was the daughter of a farmer, Nicholas Prunty (1843-), and Rachel Underwood (1847-). On 10 Nov 1889, in Doddridge Co., WV, Minerva married a farmer, Isaac D. Hall (1871-). The couple had two children: Lula B. Hall (1892-), and Charles Hall (1895-). Minerva divorced Isaac and on 12 Jul 1913, in Doddridge Co., WV, she married William Whaley (1845-). Minerva is listed in the 1870 and 1880 Census data for McClellan Township, Doddridge Co., WVthe 1900 Census data for Twonship 10, Creek Nation, Indian Territory; the 1910 Census data for McClellan District, Doddridge Co., WV; and the 1930 Census data for Clarksburg, Harrison Co., WV.
Emma C. Johnson (maiden name unknown), born Apr 1863 in WV. She was married to a J. B. Johnson and had three children: Gussie Emma Johnson (1885-1974), Minnie M. Johnson (1890-), and William E. Johnson (1894-). Emma is listed in the 1900 and 1910 Census data for Clay District, Pennsboro, Ritchie Co., WV. At the time of the 1910 enumeration, she was employed as a hotel keeper.
