Hello, I am interested in a James Johnson born in 1837 and died in 1864 since he was in the Civil War I am assuming he was killed. What is interesting about him is that he was buried beside a Joel Johnson born cir. 1795 and died cir. 1860. This Joel was married twice, first wife was
Mary Elliott married on 4 Sept. 1818, second wife was Sarah Cullwell married on 14 Feb. 1842.
These names and dates came from headstones in Guinn's Cove Cemetery, Blount County, Alabama.
More Johnson's are buried there:
Goona? Johnson (no dates)
Charlie Johnson (no dates)
Lodema Johnson, wife of James Johnson
born 27 Nov 18??
died 27 Oct 1894
(James Johnson)
Pvt. Co H. 42Reg't ALA. INF.
Confederate States Army
18371864
If this helps let me know. I am also interested in knowing if this James Johnson and the John Johnson that was married to Mahala Pannell could be related.
Thank you kindly, Renee
