James Johnsons's wife Evaline (Amelia Evaline) Ayres Johnson and 5 children were on the 1860 Smith County, Texas Census. Then Evaline and 4 of her children were on the 1870 Kaufman County, Texas Census. She was also on the 1880 & 1900 Kaufman County Census (1890 not available). Her husband, James Johnson, was only on 1850 Pontotoc County, MS Census. We cannot find out if he went to Texas in about 1856 with Evaline and her parents and Siblings (Thomas Eli Ayres).
Matilda Johnson (mother) is on the 1860 Poplar Springs, Pontotoc Co., MS Census with 3-4 girls living in her home.
James (father) and James (son) have both disappeared from records after the 1850 Census. We know that the Elder Johnson's were from Kentucky but that is all.
No, I do not have any Griffin or Binion/Binyon names in our line that we know of.
