According to documentaton provided by Doug, a descendant of Dr. Israel Johnson of Alexander, Catharine Ann Johnson, and her husband, Alexander, in March of 1820 were on the Chancery docket in OH in a complaint brought by Catharine's mother, Elizabeth Johnson, Widow of Thomas Johnson, Jr.Oaths were provided by Abigail Riddle, a daughter of Thomas & Elizabeth.The dispute was about a large tract of land near or in Dayton, OH.
For the record, Alexander Johnson died on June 1, 1855, at age 57 years, 9 months, and 27 days, andis buried in Zion Cemetery near his son, Dr. Israel Thornton Johnson.This Alexander was born before 1800.
