Johns Family Genealogy Forum

I have also been researching this family but can not find a record of an Isaac Johns before 1860. I do believe he was a brother to William. Notice on the 1860 census that a William was living next door with a young child, Martha. His wife is missing for some reason but shows up later (Jane). Isaac is married to a Mary Dickerson and I'm sure Jane is her sister. An older William and Martha Dickerson are nearby. My gggrandmother was Isaac and William's sister, Harriet Johns. She married an Andrew Gilbert and died in childbirth and my ggrandmother (Harriet Gilbert) eventually ended up living with William and Jane in Clay County. There is very little info but by research I think their mother was named Delanie or Delaney and their father (William?) died before 1844 in Alachua or Clay County. Delanie remarried a Scott Pool in 1844 and in 1850 they lived in Duval (Black Creek District). She is noted as Lana. There are two girls living with them, recorded as Pools, but their last name should be Johns. Can't find them in 1860 but Delanie shows up again in 1870 as a 70 year old woman taking care of my ggrandmother, a baby at the time. I also think another brother was Luke and Andrew Johns of Clay County was probably related too. My family is still in this area with many buried in Peoria Cemetery off Blanding. Does any of this info fit?
