Page 320, Margaret Donnan, G. Donnan and Isiah Donnan Release.
South Carolina. To all to whom presents shall come. Know ye that on request,
Gail and Sarah Donnon of Lancaster County and South Carolina for and in
consideration of the sum of thirty five pounds good and ...money of said ..in
hand paid at or before
this making and delivery of this deed of sale have bargained and sold and by
this presents do bargain, sell and release unto Jacob Johns of Colleton County
and state
aforesaid to him, his heirs and assigns a certain tract of three hundred acres
of land be the same more or less lying in the forks of Saltcatcher(sic)
between the E. and W. branches upon a swamp called Cross Swamp, bounding on
the SouthEast on lands of John Mitchell, on all other sides vacant lands; To
have and to hold the said bargain premises with all its appurtenances unto the
said Jacob Johns his heirs and assigns forever - Hereby avoiding other rights
given to us, our heirs and assigns with said original tract of land containing
three hundred acres and abuts,appurtenances whatsoever together with the said
original and .. our heirs, executors, administrators and assigns Do hereby
quit all claims of wright as can or pretend to, By parties of the said
original grant otherwise in to or upon the said premises or tract of three
hundred acres of land unto the said Jacob Johns his heirs and assigns forever
- Given under our hands & seal this tenth day of December 1797 - Margaret
