Hello John, I finally discovered how best to contact you. A cousin and I have been working on our family tree for some time now and could use any help you could lend us. We share a great-grandfather, Ferdinando Tretta, who came from the Campobasso area and settled in New York City around 1888. There he married my great-grandmother who was rumored to have come from his same village in Italy, her name approximately Michelena Perrone, we think. Unfortunately, he had left a wife, Louisa Lombardi, and two sons, Francesco and Giovanni, in Italy. We have found records of Francesco coming to the US in 1900, and he lists his home town as Riccia. This second family settled in New Jersey and Ferdinando kept both families for a number of years. At any rate, we seek Trettas and Lombardis in the immediate Campobasso area, and maybe something like Perrone in tha same area. We have seen her first name are Maggie, Margaret, Michelina, Michelena, and magdelina. We have seen her last name as Perone, Perrone, and lately as Michela Ferrano. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Fred Tretta Notify Administrator about this message?
