I am a direct decendent of Zephaniah John,Jr. My great-grandmother was his daughter Melissa. Strangly enough I decend from a William Green Hancock from Crawford Co. Ga. Melissa John married James Monroe Hancock when they were all in Florida claiming land. There were John's and Hancock's there in the circa 1896. There were several John's that married Hancock's.

I just thought this was an interest coincident.
