I'm looking for a needle in a haystack, and by posting this hope to win the lottery.:^)My grandfather's oldest brother, Karl Edvard Johansen (b. 27 Feb 1857 in Frogn, Akershus) emigrated to Canada from Norway, most likely between 1872-1877 (still trying to narrow it down). When he entered Canada he took the name "Carl Johnson", or a variant of the name, including "Johnsen" or "Johansen" or whatever. It is certainly possible his first name may vary as well, i.e., "Karl" or "Carl".
