The Johannsen's I am researching are suppose to have come to U.S. from Schleswig-Holstein,Germany. They settled in Crawford Co. Iowa in the city of Dennison. The names are Detlef Johannsen b.sep.18,1849 Ger. m.Helena Peterson b.Nov.4,1853 Ger. Their son was Louie Johannsen b.Mar.27,1879 Crawford Co. Iowa and he m. Anna Ladwig b. Mar1,1890 Crawford Co. Iowa. Anna is the daughter of William Ladwig b.1860 East Prussis Ger. married to Elise Schlimmer b.Aug.29,1869 Sch.- Hol.Ger. They can be found in the 1900 Crawford Co. Iowa census, Hanover Township. Does any of these names ring a bell? Any one who know of the Johannsens of Dennison, Crawford Co. Iowa please answer, Thanks
