Charles Joenks,was my Great Uncle, born 10-4-1885 he was born in Grand Mound, Clinton Co. Iowa. He was married to Cora Batchler. According to my data both are buried in Spencer Iowa. Great Uncle Charles is the 11th child of John Gustav Joenks and Emma Amelia Lindly. My Grandfather, William Gustav Joenks was the second child and was born 13 November 1866. If my data is right the Joenks family departed Germany in 1855 and settled in the Davenport area of Iowa.
