I found the family in Bolstad parish.

I don't have a lot of time so I won't repeat what was already transcribed earlier.
It is more clear in this record that Joel Johannesson was born 15 May 1875 and that the illegitimate child Anna Beata belonged to the wife Karin.A new child, Robert, was born 4 February 1879 in Bolstad parish. They moved out to Östebyn??, Brålanda parish, 18 December 1878, certificate numbers 93-98.
Their moving out record can be seen on the fee-based ArkivDigital site.

The record showing their move back into Brålanda parish can be seen here. The location within Brålanda parish doesn't appear to match the information found in the household examination for Bolstad parish. It looks more like Backa to me.
I see them on Arkiv Digital in the household examination record for Brålanda parish in 1876-1880, and they were indeed living in Backa in the parish. They moved out again to Gestad parish 12 November 1880, certificate number 54. He was listed as an arbetare = worker.

There is a new child -- Sofia -- who was born 6 July 1880 in Brålanda parish. Everyone else remains the same as before.
I see the moving out record from Brålanda.

I found the moving in record to Gestad parish. They were going to live in Käna ????????? in Gestad parish.

I found them at Kärra (not Käna) in Gestad parish. Now he is listed as Joel Jonasson but the rest of the people remain the same, and his birthdate/birth parish remain the same. I see no further notes about moving out or deaths, etc.

However, I looked, on a hunch, in 1881 deaths in Gestad parish and found the death of a 33 year old Joel Jonasson, owner in Kärra, on 24 February 1881. I cannot read what he died from, but apparently he died in Michigan in North America!! (The date might be the date the parish in Gestad learned about the death and perhaps he did die before the end of 1880 as the census says. What happened to the other kids can be figured out, but it won't be figured out by me. Joel might have been one of the many people who left their parish without properly informing the priest. He probably wanted to get employment and a home before sending for his family.)

I don't have any more time to deal with this but ask for advice and further help on the Sweden forum.
