So glad to hear from someone on this family.
My g-grandfather was born in 1852 in Germany.
He came to New York in 1869 and died there in 1906. He was residing in Eisenach, Germany where he worked as a farmer. I don't know if that is where he was born. He worked as a piano varnisher in NY. I also found another Adam Jochim living in NY in the same area who also was a piano varnisher. I'm sure these two Adam's were related somehow. I have a cousin who lives in NY who is going to get a copy of Adam's death certificate. I hope his parents names are listed. His wife also came from Germany. Her name was Bertha Zengel. I remember my mom telling me she came from the mountains in Germany. Not sure where that might be. Would be interested in any information you would like to share.
