It is interesting that your grandfather Jobes was Irish. I thought the name was English. Could he have lived in Ireland but have been of Enlish descent. Unfortunately I know nothing of the Burlington Co. Jobes except that I am sure my Camden family was likely related. I got all my info. from Ancestry.com. It costs money and time (be prepared to become obsessed) but quite interesting.
I found two Jobes family website http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~jobesnewjersey/ and http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~ajobebrown/j_jacob.html
check them out.
Hope they help
Nancy
