Thanks for taking the time to respond. Interesting that you find a "Sarah Bowker" married to William. I also found a William Jobes married in Burlington County but, to a Mary Bowker also in 1813. In the Burlington county Deeds (Book Y2, page 23), there is an "indenture" (quitclaim?) referenced to Mary Jobes, wife of William Jobes where Mary is the daughter of a Joseph Bowker. The document is dated May 2, 1822. Maybe my Joseph B. Jobes is named after this guy. Also, I didn't find William Jobes in Columbiana Co, OH in 1840 or in 1850. I'll try other Jobes in the area. Maybe he's living with another son. Thanks again.
