I am looking for any information on the ancestors of Frederick Wilhelm Yocum (Joachim) born Dec. 5, 1839 in Lippe (Germany). His father was Henry Yokem (Joachim) born abt. 1808 in Lippe. Henry & son Frederick sailed from Bremen on Oct 15, 1848 to New Orleans. They settled in Knox County, Indiana. Frederick married Mrs. Mary E. Jarrell on March 13, 1865 in Vincennes, IN. They had one son, Edward Ulysses Grant Yocum, born July 6, 1868.
