Sorry for dalay in replying, only visit the site periodically.
A small world, I too was born in Derby ( 1944) and now live in Shrewsbury. I am in the telephone directory and my surname is somewhat easier to find than Walker!.
We have a common great grandfather in Jesse Joachim. He had many children, including my grandfather Edward Owen Joachi. We will be second cousins.
I have traced the family back to the early 1600s, with once break but both before and after the break the Chedworth connection features.
I have not, to date, followed the 'female' lines, given the change of surnames, but I do have Francis Ellen(born 1889) and Gertrude Elizabeth ( born 1866)
I left Derby in the early 1960s although my father and mother, Lawrence and Phyllis Joachim lived there until their deaths. There remain two of my cousins in Derby( plus any further unknowns!.
