John died in Civil War. His widow Elizabeth Jane Haney remarried to Nimrod Holland. Sarah and Tima are his daughters.

John Jamerson household, 1860 U.S. census, McDowell County, North Carolina, Marion P.O., p. 190, dwelling no. 534. John Jamerson, age 21 farmer, no real or personal property; Jane age 17. (Lived next door to his father, Nathan; probably worked on father's farm.)

Nimrod Holland household, 1870 U.S. Census, Marion P.O., Finley's Township, McDowell County, North Carolina, p. 606, line 1, family no. 68. Nimrod Holland, age 27, farmer; Jane, age 26; Sarah Jimison, age 11; Tima Jimison, age 8; John Jimison, age 1. (Although John is listed as a Jimison; I believe that he was Nimrod's son. On the 1880 census all the children, including Sarah and Tima are listed as Hollands.)

Mimrod Holen, age 38, farmer; Jane, age 27; Sarah, age 18,daughter; Timey, age 17 daughter; John, age 12, son; Siley, age 7 daughter; Calab, age 4 son; James, age 3, son; Ann, age 11 months, born July 1879, daughter.
